I love porcelain and delight in the feel of hand-building. Wet porcelain is smooth and silky while fired porcelain is strong and translucent. Each porcelain piece is rolled with my mother's wooden rolling pin; it is then draped, nudged, and folded into unique shapes. Each piece is fired in the kiln three times. Lusters provide the array of interior colors, and lace is often imprinted into the porcelain for texture. Look for my signature element - an edge of 22k gold.
I have been a clay artist for over twenty years and currently live in Ashland, Oregon with my husband.
My current art include jewelry, fused glass, PMC (precious metal clay) and pearl jewelry, zany birds and delightful ceramic houses.
